Basenji
Basenjis are called the “barkless” dogs. They actually make various nonbarking sounds.
They groom themselves similar to a cat. This and their coat make them a number one choice for allergy sufferers as long as they like a pet that is extremely lively and demanding.
Basenjis learn quickly, are alert watchdogs, but are not suited as a guard dog. They are reserved with strangers and quarrelsome with strange dogs.
Extremely active, even indoors, they require a lot of outdoor exercise. Even as adults they can be destructive when left alone.
Basenjis grow to be about 25 pounds and require only about five minutes of grooming twice a week.
Their special skills are pointing, tracking and retrieving.
The history of the Basenji goes back to thousands of years and is depicted on Egyptian tombs.

From experience in my family and from others who have bred and had this breed, they never forget something bad that might happen to them and they can hold a huge grudge. Just a little warning, may not be best for someone who wants an easy dog
